Certified Driver Professional

Volumetric Mixer Operator Certification Review and Exam
-
Proctoring of NRMCA Technical re-certifications, as needed
-
-
TCA has for several years sponsored and conducted a pervious concrete review session and written exam at World of Concrete.
-
TCA’s Executive Director Alan Sparkman teaches the Certified Concrete Sales Professional classes (all four modules) for NRMCA, as well as for several other state associations who offer the program.
-
In addition to more than two decades of support for the CCSP classes, Executive Director Alan Sparkman also serves as an active member on the NRMCA Business Advancement Committee, and on the NRMCA Workforce Committee.
-
TCA 2023 Annual Convention - TCA found a new way to partner with NRMCA to promote membership in NRMCA among TCA members. TCA provided a tabletop for NRMCA’s Amanda Muller, and we conducted two raffles at the NRMCA table to attract visitors. Raffle proceeds and donations totaling $1260 were raised for the ConcretePAC fund, and additional donations were collected from TCA members to build out the State Association basket that TCA placed in the ConcretePac Silent Auction. The second raffle supported the Concrete Advancement Foundation (see details below).
-
In March, TCA supported the NRMCA Annual Convention by attending, and we provided the ConcretePac Silent Auction with a special State of Tennessee cooler with items donated by TCA member companies.
-
RMC Foundation Support - Currently, TCA's pledge is $1000 per year, through 2023. Our total giving to date is over $19,000. Alan Sparkman was both a participant and an individual sponsor of the 2023 Walk for Wellness at NRMCA’s Concrete Works in Nashville, and TCA donated raffle proceeds from our Annual Convention in the amount of $1440, in addition to our pledge payment.
-
TCA utilized NRMCA staff (Amanda Hult and Frank Gordon) as speakers for two presentations at the 2023 Tennessee Engineers Conference.
-
TCA has participated in the NRMCA program to provide social media posts to state associations since its inception. This is a great way for states and NRMCA to amplify a common message about concrete through social media.
-
TCA uses our Build With Strength banners after seeing them at the 2022 Concrete Works event. We are using these banners as part of trade show displays for various Tennessee groups such as the TN Engineers Conference, Metro-Davidson County High School Job Fair, Landscape Architects, TN Building Officials, Career and Technical Educators Institute and more.
