2025: Innovation, Workforce Focus, and Leadership Continuity

In 2025, TCA focused on forward-looking innovation, workforce development, and long-term organizational strength—delivering tangible value to members while positioning the association for continued leadership in Tennessee’s concrete industry.

Key initiatives included:

  • Expanding workforce engagement through Concrete Quest, the new Concrete Disk Competition, and a full year of Driver Dash—supporting both entry-level pipeline development and experienced driver retention.

  • Launching TC.Ai, an AI-powered knowledge assistant that improves access to technical, certification, and association resources for members, educators, students, and concrete consumers.

  • Proactively planning leadership transition, working throughout the year to recruit the next Executive Director as Alan Sparkman prepares to retire in 2026 after leading TCA since 1998.

Together, these efforts reflect TCA’s commitment to innovation, people, and stability—ensuring the association continues to serve as a trusted, future-focused leader for Tennessee’s concrete industry.

ABOUT TCA

The Tennessee Concrete Association leads the concrete industry in creating sustainable value for members and customers through Advocacy, Education and Market Development.

The Tennessee Concrete Association (TCA) was formed in 1986 (originally known as the Tennessee Ready Mixed Concrete Association) with the primary purpose of promoting the increased use of ready mixed concrete in Tennessee. Today, we have 38 ready mix producer member companies representing approximately 60% of the annual ready mix production in Tennessee.
