Driver Dash

Driver Dash: Elevating Driver Recognition, Retention, and Workforce Engagement

Launched in 2024 and expanded throughout 2025, Driver Dash is the Tennessee Concrete Association’s signature workforce engagement program designed to recognize, motivate, and retain ready-mix drivers across the state. Developed in partnership with Rocket Start, Driver Dash uses a gamified, data-informed approach to celebrate excellence in safety, professionalism, reliability, and performance—without adding administrative burden to participating companies.

Program Overview and Evolution

Driver Dash allows ready-mix producers to enroll drivers at no cost (up to five drivers per company) and track performance using a streamlined set of standardized badges. The program is intentionally designed to complement—not replace—existing company incentive or bonus programs, making it accessible for producers of all sizes.

Throughout 2025, TCA continued to build momentum following the program’s successful launch. Three companies participated consistently, with 15 drivers actively competing statewide. Drivers earn weekly and monthly recognition, fostering healthy competition while reinforcing positive behaviors that matter most on the job.

A major enhancement in 2025 was the introduction of a year-end championship experience:

  • In February 2025, TCA invited the top five drivers to attend the TCA Annual Convention.

  • The top-performing driver was awarded the inaugural Driver Dash Championship Belt, creating a highly visible and aspirational recognition moment.

  • Due to the program’s success, TCA will again award a Championship Belt at the 2026 TCA Annual Convention to the top driver from the 2025 competition year.

Tangible Impact for Members and Drivers

Driver Dash has proven particularly effective as a driver retention and engagement tool.

Participating companies report increased pride, accountability, and camaraderie among drivers—along with growing interest from non-participating drivers who want to “get in the game.”

To capture and share this impact, TCA collected video testimonials from participating members, highlighting how Driver Dash:

  • Reinforces positive driver behavior

  • Improves morale and recognition

  • Supports retention in a competitive labor environment

These testimonials are used in ongoing promotion and recruitment of new participants.

Promotion and Member Engagement

TCA supported Driver Dash with a consistent, multi-channel communications strategy throughout 2025:

  • A dedicated Driver Dash landing page on the TCA website

  • Monthly email updates highlighting badge winners and leaderboards

  • Monthly video announcements recognizing top drivers

  • Regular social media promotion celebrating drivers and encouraging participation

This sustained visibility keeps Driver Dash top of mind for members and reinforces TCA’s commitment to workforce development and recognition.

Long-Term Vision

Driver Dash is not a one-time initiative—it is an ongoing, evolving program that continues to grow in visibility and impact. As participation expands, TCA views Driver Dash as a cornerstone workforce program that:

  • Promotes best practices across the ready-mix industry

  • Recognizes frontline professionals in a meaningful, visible way

  • Strengthens member engagement and loyalty

  • Supports long-term workforce stability in Tennessee

Driver Dash demonstrates how a state association can innovate within limited resources to deliver high-impact education and promotion—advancing both member value and industry excellence.
